Mink studied documentary film directing at the St. Joost Academy in Breda and made a documentary about the music scene in The Hague as his thesis in 2009. In the years that followed, Mink started his own production company MILLK and directed more and more fiction films and commercials. He developed a solid collaboration with theater companies such as the National Theatre and the DeLaMar Theatre.

This is where he learned more about his profession, by working with experienced directors and actors. Besides these kind of projects, Mink also directed music videos, video art and documentaries for established bands, artists and cultural institutions. Cooperation with other art practitioners has always been a central theme in his work. His short film 'Dying Dandy", which he created with Eva Line de Boer, will be in theatres as from mid-2016.
